About Nicky

I am a qualified Dance & Drama teacher and worked for 31 years both in mainstream and special schools.

I have an Advanced Diploma in the Performing Arts from Bedford College and a Masters degree in Dramatherapy from Roehampton University, London.

As a dramatherapist I have worked in upper schools facilitating groups of adolescent boys with anger and behaviour issues and girls with bereavement issues.

I work with the local charity Autism Bedfordshire on their respite programme for families.

At present, I work in a local primary school with pupils on the autistic spectrum and provide support for their families. I run weekly dramatherapy sessions for pupils with behavioural & self-esteem issues & also with looked-after children and their families.

I am a member of and work within the ethical guidelines of the Health Professions Council (HPC registration number AS13507).

I am a member of the British Association of Dramatherapists (BADth).

I am a consultant dramatherapist for Amity Psychology and Consultancy Service, an incorporated multi-professional psychology service.
